Flooded Kitchen in Taylors, SC
A water supply line to an ice maker was not connected properly causing water to leak unnoticed for several days. The water impacted the flooring beneath the refrigerator and slow spread out pooling above and below the vinyl flooring. SERVPRO of East Greenville County removed the flooring in the affected area of the kitchen to return the material to dry standard. An inspection of the crawlspace determined that the materials in the area were not at dry standard and high humidity levels placed them at high risk of developing microbial growth. Air movers were placed under the area for three days and successfully dried the subflooring, avoiding a potential mold issue.
