Winter Storm Damage to Greer, SC Home
A winter storm moved into Greer, SC followed by a week of sub-freezing temperatures. Area residents took action to prevent pipes from bursting by leaving water dripping from faucets in their homes. But, this home was still impacted by the freezing conditions because the homeowner was out of town during the storm and following days. They returned home to find their entire first floor with several inches of standing water. SERVPRO of East Greenville County immediately removed the standing water and started the drying process. Unfortunately, there were sections of the floor that was unsalvageable, but the SERVPRO team quickly removed the damaged hardwood area only and was able to recover the remainder of the first floor.
