Flooded Office in Greenville, SC
A connection to a water fountain burst over a holiday weekend releasing hundreds of gallons of water inside an office in Greenville, SC. The entire first floor was impacted and, in some areas, water was standing over two inches. Many pieces of office furniture and equipment were deemed unsalvageable due to the amount of water submersion or absorption SERVPRO had to first extract the standing water from areas like the main entryway and main conference room. Then baseboards had to be removed so air movers could dry above and below the carpet, dehumidifiers were used for several days across the facility to help prevent microbial growth from developing. It took nearly a week, but the property was returned to dry standard, and the replacement costs were significantly reduced.
