Storm Damage to Greenville, SC Business
A hailstorm in Greenville, SC caused damage to the roof of a local business. Hail was reported up to 1.25 inches, roughly the size of a half dollar, and punctured holes in several areas of the building’s roof. Heavy rains followed for multiple days leading to the sections of the office being soaked from the ceilings to the floors. Several hundred square feet of carpet were submerged under standing water; ceiling tiles were broken or warped. SERVPRO of East Greenville arrived within an hour of being contacted and began the cleaning and restoration process. Ceiling tiles were removed, air movers and dehumidifiers dried the air above the remaining ceiling tiles while over a dozen air movers were used to dry the carpet and walls. Because of SERVPRO’s swift action, no demolition was required except for most of the ceiling tiles. Saving the business money and lost time.
