Secondary Damage Needs Attention Too
It can be easy to only focus on the immediate damage after a fire; the areas that were destroyed by the flames, belongings stained by soot and smoke, and furniture soaked by the water used to fight the fire. But, what about the secondary damage, items that were not initially affected by the fire, they require attention too. In some instances, the power can be shut off to a structure for several days, sometimes weeks after a fire, and the structure may not be deemed safe to enter. Food left in these appliances tends to spoil and feed mold and other bacteria. Other than the spoiled food and unpleasant smell, these appliances may be in perfect working condition and do not need to be replaced. Our team works to ensure that what can be salvaged is salvaged and make it “Like it never even happened.”
